Equality, Diversity And Inclusion (“EDI”) Policy

Scope
This policy encompasses discrimination based on age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion and/or belief, sex or sexual orientation as articulated in the Equality Act 2010.

Ministry of Numerology acknowledges the potential discrepancies between an individual’s physical sex and gender assigned at birth, and their gender identity/expression; thus, this policy also addresses discrimination on the grounds of a person’s gender identity.

This policy should be interpreted alongside the Equal Opportunities Policy.

Commitment
Ministry of Numerology expects all members of its staff and wider community to treat others with fairness, dignity, and respect. Anyone who perceives they have been subjected to discrimination, harassment, or bullying is entitled to lodge a complaint without fear of victimization or retaliation. Please refer to staff and candidate policies for the appropriate procedure to follow.

Responsibilities
Everyone associated with or working for Ministry of Numerology holds a responsibility to foster EDI. The Chief Executive is ultimately responsible for ensuring thorough implementation of this policy. The Director of People & Culture is tasked with leading the execution of the Ministry of Numerology strategy concerning equality, diversity, and inclusion for staff, and alongside the rest of the Executive team concerning Ministry of Numerology content and operational activity.

Implementation, Monitoring, and Review
This Policy will be put into action through an Equality and Diversity Committee. Progress regarding actions and objectives will be reported to the Executive Management Team regularly. The impact of this Policy will be assessed by the following monitoring measures: The People & Culture director will gather and scrutinize monitoring data on staff, and report this information annually to the Executive Management Team.

The Quality and Standards Department will oversee the collection and analysis of candidate monitoring data. The Marketing Team will implement and uphold measures to ensure, as far as possible, that Ministry of Numerology content aligns with the provisions set forth in this policy. This Policy will undergo regular reviews to ensure alignment with best practices and current legislation.

Training
All staff are mandated to participate in EDI training pertinent to their role, with new staff required to undergo EDI training as part of their induction.

Complaints Procedures related to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
Ministry of Numerology anticipates all members of its staff and wider community to treat others with fairness, dignity, and respect. Anyone who believes they have been discriminated against, harassed, or bullied has the right to lodge a complaint without fear of victimization or retaliation. Please refer to staff and candidate policies for the appropriate procedure to follow.

Notes
This policy is held by the Director of People & Culture and is subject to review at the discretion of Ministry of Numerology’s Executive and/or as necessitated by legislative alterations.
